Arriving by motorbike at the Ritter’Hoft: locked garage and a base in the Northern Vosges

A locked garage for motorbikes, a water point, an electrical socket and a dinner and breakfast on site: the motorcycling stopover at the Ritter’Hoft, in Morsbronn-les-Bains, on the edge of the Northern Vosges.

Published on July 20, 2026 · By Nicolas Letzelter, Director of the Ritter'Hoft

The Ritter’Hoft has a garage that locks, next to the car park, where motorbikes spend the night out of sight and out of the rain. A water point lets you rinse the machine, an electrical socket lets you plug in a charger. The hotel is in Morsbronn-les-Bains, inside the Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park, a few kilometres from the German border: small forest roads, red sandstone and castles start at the edge of the village.

Where does the bike spend the night?

In a garage that locks, next to the house car park. This is why riders stop here rather than at a motorway exit: the machine is neither on a public car park nor under the bedroom window to be watched all night. The garage is shared with bicycles. Tell reception how many motorbikes you are bringing when you book, so the space can be planned.

Rinsing and charging

A water point is available to rinse a machine that has had a day in the rain or on forest roads. An electrical socket lets you plug in a battery charger overnight.

The roads around Morsbronn-les-Bains

Morsbronn-les-Bains is in Northern Alsace, on the edge of the Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park, designated a biosphere reserve. Around it: forest roads, half-timbered villages and red sandstone castles.

Fleckenstein castle, the fortified town of Wissembourg, the Maginot Line works at Schoenenbourg and Four à Chaux, the Grand Wintersberg with its viewing tower and the Chemin des Cimes at Drachenbronn are all within a day's radius. The German border is close, which puts the Palatinate within reach on the same ride. Haguenau is 15 minutes away, Strasbourg around 45 minutes.

Dinner and a bed without heading out again

Half board covers the night in an air-conditioned room, dinner in the restaurant and the buffet breakfast. The rate depends on the date, the room category and the number of nights: we confirm it by phone or by e-mail. The restaurant serves dinner every evening except Sunday evening. After a day on the road it is the simplest arrangement: the bike is in the garage and you do not go out again.

The rooms

24 modern and air-conditioned rooms, free Wi-Fi, a TV with Chromecast and a walk-in shower. From €79 for a single Essentiel, €97 for a double Confort and €107 for a double Supérieure, excluding tourist tax. Two ground-floor rooms are fitted for guests with reduced mobility, and sixteen rooms are served by the lift.

Eating and moving on

The restaurant serves lunch and dinner every day except Sunday evening, with main courses between €15.20 and €29.00, net prices, service included. The buffet breakfast is €15 per person per day. Rooms are available from 3pm, checkout is by 11am, and reception answers from 8am to 10pm on +33 3 88 54 07 37.

Ritter’Hoft tip: as a group, call rather than book online. Six motorbikes in a shared garage takes planning, and reception will tell you straight whether there is room that weekend.
