Published on August 19, 2026 · By Nicolas Letzelter, Director of the Ritter'Hoft

Golf International Soufflenheim Baden-Baden is the main golf destination in northern Alsace: 33 holes across more than 120 hectares, a championship course designed by Bernhard Langer, a 9-hole course, a 6-hole compact course and a practice area. Here is what the club states officially, courses, required handicap, green fees and opening hours, and how to organise a golf break from the Ritter’Hoft, about 25 minutes away by car.

A championship course designed by Bernhard Langer

The club describes its estate as more than 120 hectares in the heart of Alsace, 30 minutes north of Strasbourg and close to Baden-Baden. The 18-hole course, presented as a masterpiece by professional player Bernhard Langer, lines up 18 greens and 14 natural water features among Rhine meadows surrounded by woodland.

According to the official course pages, it plays 6,352 m from the white tees (slope 142, SSS 73.9), 6,021 m from the yellow tees (slope 136, SSS 72), 5,439 m from the blue tees and 5,180 m from the red tees. In other words a genuine championship layout, where water asks for control rather than power.

The 9-hole course, the 6-hole compact and the practice area

Alongside the main course, the club runs a 9-hole course described as accessible from green card level, listed as par 66 over two rounds (4,574 m from the yellow tees, 4,030 m from the red tees), with a par 5 at hole 7. The 6-hole compact course, par 18 over 369 m, is designed for approach play, short game and precision.

There is also a driving range, a putting green and Toptracer technology. The club notes that the practice area is unavailable every Thursday from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Access: handicap, licence and booking

The club states that the 18-hole championship course is open to visitors on weekdays and at weekends, on proof of a playing handicap of 40 and a valid licence. The 9-hole course is open to everyone on presentation of a green card and a valid licence. The 6-hole compact course, the driving range and the putting green are open to beginners and experienced players alike.

Golf reception is listed as open every day from 8 am to 6 pm, on +33 (0)3 88 05 77 00. Tee times are booked directly with the club, which also lists its partner booking platforms.

Green fees: how the price grid works

The club publishes an annual grid with two seasons. For 2026, high season runs from 14 March to 30 October. On the 18-hole course in high season, the green fee is listed at 95 € on weekdays excluding Monday and 110 € at weekends and on public holidays; the Monday “Happy Monday” rate drops to 60 €, and the “Twilight” rates, before 9 am or late in the day, to 47.50 € on weekdays.

The 9-hole course is listed at 50 € on weekdays and 60 € at weekends, and the 6-hole compact course at 15 €. The club announces a 30 % discount from 12 people, not applicable on Mondays. These amounts change from year to year, so check the club’s green fee page before you travel.

The clubhouse and the Le Panorama restaurant

The clubhouse is home to the Le Panorama restaurant, with a view over the course and a terrace. The club lists a bar open every day from 8 am to 8 pm and a restaurant open every day from 12 pm to 6.30 pm, with booking recommended on +33 (0)3 88 05 73 45. From Monday to Friday it announces daily menus prepared with fresh produce.

Worth knowing when you plan the day: restaurant service stops at 6.30 pm. Dinner after your round therefore happens elsewhere, which works well if you are staying at a hotel with its own restaurant.

Footgolf, taster sessions and the golf school

The estate is not only for licence holders. The club offers taster sessions and beginner formats, a golf school with PGA teaching professionals, and a footgolf association: the 9-hole course hosts this variant played on foot with a football. It is a good entry point for a family or a group where not everyone plays golf.

Ritter’Hoft tip: book your tee time before your room, not the other way round. High-season weekend slots are the most sought after, while a Monday or a start before 9 am gives you the same course for noticeably less.

From the Ritter’Hoft: about 25 minutes by car

From Morsbronn-les-Bains to the Allée du Golf, allow around 24 km and 25 minutes by car, depending on traffic. That is the right distance to sleep somewhere quiet without staying on the course itself: a spa village, a family hotel-restaurant with 24 rooms, an Alsatian dinner in the evening and your tee time the next morning.

We have a lockable garage, already used by our cycling and motorbike guests: ask at reception if you would rather not leave your clubs in the car. And if you have an early tee time, mention it when you book and we will see together what is possible for breakfast.

The best approach from the Ritter’Hoft

A golf break in northern Alsace works well over two or three nights: a full day on the 18-hole course, a morning on the 9-hole course or the range, and the rest of the time for the region. From Morsbronn-les-Bains, the thermal baths, the half-timbered villages, the Wine Route and the Northern Vosges are all within reach without changing hotel.
